To me 2011 was the best year for music of the decade. I just like the vibe of early 2010s music and culture.

I'm pretty sure we already had a bunch of threads like this one before, but whatever.
Gonna go with my beloved 2015, closely followed by 2013, they're both just great. I do really like the early 2010s now, but 2011 and especially 2010 took a while to grow on me back.
For the rest, 2014 is terrible, 2018 collapsed in its second half and 2016 was creatively bankrupt. 2017 is pretty strong from what I've heard, but I just missed so much of it. It's the year I'm the most unfamiliar with.
Here you go, my whole opinion on the 2010s!
Let's hope for 2019 to finish things off on a high note!

2011 is my favorite year for music this decade, the worst would be 2016. 2017 is such an overrated year for music, too much Trap and boring Pop music. The Latin/Reggaeton craze of 2017 was terrible too.

I would personally consider 2010 to be the best year for music this decade. While it wasn't a great year for music overall, there are quite a number of songs from 2010 which I genuinely enjoy listening to. I'm pretty sure we already had a bunch of threads like this one before, but whatever. Yep, we do. Although, to be fair to Cassie, the thread was created in the "Music" sub-board and it hasn't received a post since March.

I'm the Katy Perry fanboy  Although it came out in 2013, her PRISM album dominated 2014. Another reason to like the year  Edit: and Beyoncé's self-titled came out that year too. Happy by Pharrel Williams (a late 2013/early 2014 song) is also a life anthem. And finally, while they are commonly associated with 2015, Shut Up and Dance, Taylor Swift's 1989 album, and Uptown Funk also came out that year. 2014 was a behemoth!
