A general thread for movie discussion.
Has anyone watched the new "Emoji Movie"? I have no intentions of watching it to be honest, because it doesn't really appeal to me and I think the whole concept of the movie is ridiculous. The movie has actually received a lot of backlash, from what I've read. It will be interesting to see if it has an effect on 'social media' culture at all.

When the movie was first released, it had a 0% rating on rotten tomatoes which has since risened to just 10% when really it should've just stayed at 0%! I don't mind movies that are based on Video Games, but based on a phone/internet feature? Nope!

Lol I definitely don't have any intentions of watching it either! It looks plain awful and like zampakid said the ratings are terrible. I really think people are starting to run out of ideas!

I don't mind movies that are based on Video Games, but based on a phone/internet feature? Nope! That's pretty bad! You would have expected it to at least have a 50% rating on rotten tomatoes. To have a rating as low as 10%, just shows that most people don't like the whole idea of an "emoji" movie. In regards to movies based on Video Games, i'm very selective when it comes to liking certain ones. For instance, I thought the movie "Pixels" (which I think has Adam Sandler in it) was pretty stupid, even though it is a comedy. A general thread for movie discussion. I agree. A film studio will probably make a movie based on Hashtags next.

www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/linda-hamilton-set-return-terminator-franchise-1040948Looking forward to this, Arnold Schwarzenegger back as The Terminator and Linda Hamilton back as Sarah Connor. And James Cameron back also in the as yet untitled Terminator 6. Looks like this is being crafted as part of a trilogy so we’ll see a couple more movies yet if all goes well. Hopefully this is much better than the third movie, and although I never bothered watching the fourth or even the last one (Genisys) by all accounts they were utter garbage too. It’s great to hear they have decided to reboot and ignore the previous three movies and will be making this new one as a direct sequel from the second movie: Judgement Day. Hopefully it’s just as good as the first and second movies.

Wait for it. Hollywood will base a movie around Fidget Spinners eventually no doubt! 😆 As for whether I would watch it or not, if a mate of mine wants to maybe, otherwise I personally wouldn't put myself out to watch what sounds like utter rubbish!! 😉

If it's as good as the first two and it performs well at the box-office, then it will be a great addition to the franchise. However, I think there comes a point when a franchise should just stop. The original Terminator movie was made 33 years ago. I think it's time that the franchise should be given a break and be rebooted sometime in the future. It has only become a marketing ploy for movie producers. It will probably happen sometime in the 2020s, when people are nostalgic for Fidget Spinners. I've never even used one before, so I know I definitely won't watch a "Fidget Spinners" movie, lol.

Yeah, true. 🙂 I don’t get the obsession with Finget Spinners. Unless it’s because I’m getting older now, I find these completely ridiculous to what I grew up with and was the “in thing” to play with. Showing my age perhaps? 😛
Yeah, I’m just glad they are planning on forgetting the previous three movies and make this a direct squeal to the second movie. If it’s half as good then I can’t wait.
Considering Arnie isn’t getting any younger (he’s around 70 now I think), I wonder how much longer he will continue acting in these types of movies.

The thing I don't get about Fidget Spinners is that they're not just popular with kids; they're popular with teens and adults as well! What's so special about them? I guess i'm probably showing my age as well. I'm going to predict that this upcoming Terminator movie will probably be one of his last. By the time another Terminator movie is possibly produced, he may already be close to his mid-70s at that point. I know he's fit, but you wouldn't think that he would want to keep doing it for too much longer.
