Guys, I've been planning to take some of the old tapes that I've recorded over the years and put some of the content on YouTube. Here's a few examples of the some of the stuff that I've got and I wondered whether or not any of you would care to check out any of these if I put them online.

I'm usually not into sports, but it would still be super cool if you uploaded them! Personally I'm most looking forward to that Toonami tape. You wouldn't have early-mid '90s Disney Channel though, by any chance?

mh I think it would be great if you were to upload all of those recordings! I would definitely check them out, as converting old VHS recordings and uploading them onto YouTube is something that I have actually been doing for over 5 years. This is my YouTube channel in case you're interested: www.youtube.com/user/CjmTVNetwork

Yeah, I actually did have a tape that I recorded off the Disney Channel from around 1996, but unfortunately it got recorded over. I do have a few tapes that I recorded off the Disney Channel around 2002 or so. mh I think it would be great if you were to upload all of those recordings! That's something that I've been wanting to do for a while, to move some of my old tapes over to a computer so they could be saved. Guys around your age are probably about the last to have actually grown up using VCR's, since they were pretty much gone from stores by about the late '00s or so. To a certain point, it's a bit unfortunate that this newer generation will have had basically no history with the format.

To a certain point, it's a bit unfortunate that this newer generation will have had basically no history with the format. Hopefully you'll get a chance to do it one day. It's definitely something worthwhile, because as you would know, tapes naturally degrade overtime and the content on the tapes can't be recovered once that does happen. I agree, people born in the Late '90s (and very Early 2000s, to an extent) were the last to have used VCRs while growing up. I personally have a lot of memories of using VCRs as a kid. For instance, I got a VCR for my bedroom when I was 5 and even though VHS had largely become obsolete by this point, I still used my VCR to record content/shows off TV when I was 10 years old. Just on that last point, i'm not sure if you've watched this video before or not, but there was actually a video uploaded back in 2015 which shows how kids react to VCRs and VHS tapes. It's pretty interesting to watch. The kids in this video were born after 2002, so they either weren't born yet or were only toddlers during VCRs final years of relevancy.
