As per the title, how are you planning on spending the last couple of days of 2018? I'm planning on seeing the new Aquaman movie with a friend of mine tomorrow (NYE). I'm not even that bothered about going to see it, to be honest. I only agreed to go because I haven't caught up with my friend for a couple of months and he asked me if I wanted to come with him. I've heard that the movie goes for 2.5 hours and it's a DC movie, so i'm not looking forward to it.

I’ll probably sleep in and be generally lazy for most of NYE day. I may go out later in the night with a few mates (though I haven’t got any set plans this year). I was actually thinking about going to see Aquaman with some mates on Tuesday as the reviews are favourable and trailers I’ve seen looks kinda interesting. Though in saying that, being a DC films I don’t hold high hopes for it as their movies a very hit and miss compared to Marvel’s. Anyone interested in watching the new Mary Poppins Returns movie?

Sounds good! Besides going to the cinemas, I don't really have anything else planned for the day either. Oh well, there's nothing wrong with that.  That's what i'm worried about. To be honest, I can't say that there's really a DC movie which I could easily watch over and over again. None of them really take my interest. I know we've spoken about this before, but I often find that most of their movies are unnecessarily long and lack the excellent storytelling that the Marvel films have. They're just not that enjoyable IMO. I hope i'm proven wrong and I end up enjoying Aquaman, but i'm not really liking my chances. Nope, I definitely won't be watching it! I hate musicals and I've never even watched the original Mary Poppins movie before, so there's no incentive for me to go and watch this new film.

I don't usually 'do' New Year's Eve as I hate it but I have been invited to a neighbour's party.

Spending more time with friends and family, as this seems to be the time of year where nobody is not particularly busy.

Ive just been travelling around the North Island, and for NYE & New Years Day im here at Mt Maunganui which is a pretty popular holiday city here in NZ. Theres a ton of people here for the Baydreams music festival where Cardi B and a ton of mostly NZ artists will be performing tomorrow (I was originally planning on going but it didn't happen so I guess that can be next year)
