Super Bowl 53 was a complete disaster

If you live outside the US where the NFL or gridiron in general isn't popular, my question for you is, how has this current season been for your countries most popular professional sports league?
Because for the NFL, this past 2018-2019 season has been a complete disaster, with yesterday's Super Bowl just being the cherry on top. If you're didn't watch the Super Bowl yesterday, trust me, you missed nothing.
Now, right off the bat, the worst part of the last NFL season was, of course, the blown pass interference call at the NFC Championship game between the Rams and Saints. I don't care whether or not you believe the Saints would've won the game with the pass interference call, or if the Rams would've won anyways, it was not a fair game regardless. It happened right on the refs watch, they saw it, and did nothing, the refs should've been fired, and the game should've been done over. They were just desperate for the Rams to make it to the Super Bowl, why is that? Simple, because Los Angeles is a huge market, second biggest in the US behind New York, and the NFL loves high ratings from huge markets. For the past few years, the NFL has had this weird infatuation with LA, starting with the Rams moving there and backstabbing its St. Louis fans, then with the Chargers moving there in a complete slap in the face move to its San Diego fans. Yet since moving to Los Angeles, both teams had seen record low attendance, there was even a home Chargers game against Kansas City in which there were more KC than Chargers jerseys in the crowd! What the NFL needs to realize is Los Angeles is not a reliable market for them, neither the Chargers nor Rams are bedrock franchises, and LA in general is far more passionate about other sports leagues where they do have successful bedrock franchises, most notably the NBA, the Lakers are the NBA equivalent of the Cowboys, Yankees, and Canadiens. Los Angeles is never going to be as passionate for the NFL as the NFL wants them to be, which is what they need to realize, the Rams and Chargers should've honestly stayed where they were put, in St. Louis and San Diego respectively.
The AFC Championship game between the Patriots and Chiefs was better, but that's not saying much (to quote AVGN, "that's like saying the shit I took last night was better than the shit I took the day before"). Like the NFC Championship game, the AFC Championship game was also rigged by terrible officiating, with the Chiefs getting penalized just for giving Brady a little slap on the chest (giving the Pats a first down), and with having a first-down call that they should've got get overturned, while the Patriots had a similar first down call in which the ball slipped out stand. Plus, there's the NFL's terrible overtime rules that the Patriots took advantage of by winning the coin toss.
I will say though, as much as I am sick of the Patriots, I was actually rooting for them against the Rams in this one, and am glad they won at the end. This is truly exceptional in my case, I rooted for the Giants, Seahawks, Falcons, and Eagles when they played against the Patriots in Super Bowls 46, 49, 51, and 52 respectively, last years Super Bowl in which the Eagles defeated the Patriots and won their first Lombardy Trophy was great, the one before that in which the Falcons blew their huge lead was a big disappointment. This is the only time in which I actually wanted the Patriots to win this one, as I'd rather see the GOAT solidify his place than see a relocated team that left its old fans in the dust and only got to the big game by defying the NFL rules win anything.
I wasn't the only one either, there were many across the country who rooted strongly for the Falcons and Eagles in the last two Super Bowls who had no where near the same enthusiasm for the Rams, or even, like me, jumped ship to the Patriots, or just didn't bother watching the Super Bowl at all. At the Atlanta stadium where the big game was played yesterday, it was like a home game for the Patriots.
The ratings for this years Super Bowl were the lowest they've been in 10 years. People are just sick of always seeing the Patriots go to the big game, and they just don't care much for the Rams to wanna see them top the GOAT, especially when they only got there because of abysmal officiating. The score was Patriots 13-3 Rams, the lowest scoring Super Bowl in history. Jared Goff looked like an inexperienced little boy who didn't know what to do, the Rams scored no touchdowns, only a field goal. The best the Rams could go was block the Patriots from getting a touchdown, which worked throughout most of the game, until the Patriots got one in the fourth quarter, giving them the lead needed to beat the Rams.
The ratings for this Super Bowl were the lowest they've been in 10 years, especially low in New Orleans where they had the Boycott Bowl. The NFL wanted the Rams and Patriots because Los Angeles and Boston are much bigger markets than New Orleans and Kansas City respectively, but despite that, I guarantee you the ratings would've been way higher had this been between the Saints and Chiefs, like it should've been, this was the NFL shooting themselves in the foot. Let's hope the NFL learned a lesson here, and let's also hope next year's Super Bowl is actually good. Everyone's sick of seeing the Patriots make it to the big game, but I'm also just as sick of seeing a random underdog NFC team that hasn't been to the big game in a long ass time make it as well. I'd like to see a new team for the AFC, like the Chiefs or Texans, and for the NFC, a team that's actually been to the big game in the last five years like the Seahawks, Panthers, Falcons, or Eagles that can start a dynasty of their own.
Texans VS Eagles, that's one I'd like to see, plus Houston and Philadelphia are both huge markets, so the NFL should be on board with it.
Besides the teams, though, there was also the Halftime Show as well, which from the start with ridden with controversy as many celebrities boycotted the chance in support of Colin Kaepernick. The whole Anthem Protest fiasco was blown way the fuck out of proportion by both sides, but it especially showed how greedy the NFL is, as they were on Kaepernick's side until it brought down their ratings, then they turned against him. What they should've done is call out both sides for exploiting the issue and making it seem like a bigger deal than it actually was, but they enjoyed all the media attention they were getting until it came to financially hurt them.
So, that happened, and Maroon 5 got lambasted for taking the gig and not boycotting against it in solidarity with Kaepernick. Plus, SpongeBob SquarePants fans were expecting "Sweet Victory", but only got a small clip from before that song really started at the end of that episode. All the songs were boring, only a handful of Maroon 5 songs were played and sounded mediocre while played live, and to top it all off, no pun intended, Adam Levine went shirtless to throw out sex appeal to horny girls and gay men, then not long after that, it was over.
Now, honestly, the Half Time shows are seemingly always hit or miss, in the past eight years the only ones I really liked were Beyonce's performance in Super Bowl 47 and Justin Timberlake's last year in 52. This one however was just sad and pathetic.
