I’m doing a research essay in English and was thinking about this topic. Do you agree with polygamy relationships? Do you think marriage can be between more than two people?
Personally, I don’t agree with polygamy. I really think any type of marriage should only be between two people (whether it’s gay, lesbian, whatever) but if people choose to do it then it’s their decision I guess.

To me, if someone wants to even consider engaging in polygamy, they may as well not get married. It just comes across as being completely disingenuous. I don't agree with polygamy marriages at all.

Polygamy? One husband would be more than enough, thank you! (unless it was Tomas Ledin!)

If you want an open relationship then well, whatever floats your boat. But this just seems like a huge complication, between jealousy, housing arrangements, kids, etc. Making polygamy legitimate in the eyes of the law also complicates taxes and health insurance and whatnot. It's something we don't need to integrate into our society to serve a small subset of people.
Those just the practical aspects of it though, personally I can't even imagine wanting that. Most people have a hard enough time with one person.

Most people have a hard enough time with one person. Complicated is exactly what it would be. Often times there is a hierarchy among the wives. It's always one man with multiple wives too, never the other way around so there's a sexist element to it for sure. Not something that should be normalized at all.
