Instant love. It was a great year to be 8 years old! I went and saw Linkin Park at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, fell in love for the first time, became friends with someone who I am still friends with today and I enjoyed the overall pop culture/vibe of the time. It's definitely the year which I am most nostalgic for.

2007 was an enjoyable year for me. When it comes to personal life, the main thing I think about is how much time I spent on the desktop computer watching YouTube and doing other things. I remember going to the premiere of At World's End and it's one of my most memorable movie experiences.
Pop culture wise, I like it too. Halo 3 released that year, one of my favorite video games ever, and I get really nostalgic for a lot of music hits from that year.

I think it's interesting that you spent a lot of time watching YouTube back then, because honestly, I didn't become aware of YouTube until at least Late 2007/Early 2008. The only social media site that I was familiar with back then was Myspace.

How have you been? I started watching it sometime in 2006 because my mom showed me the site. It's kind of strange, because there's so many videos I watched growing up that have been mostly, if not completely forgotten. I was also familiar with MySpace during that time, but I never used it. Facebook as well, which my mom began using around late 2007.

Hope college is going well for you. As for myself, the past six months have been a bit of a mixed bag due to family reasons, to be honest. I started Tafe (which is similar to College) just at the start of last month though, so that hasn't been too bad. It's interesting to hear that your Mum introduced you to YouTube, especially back in 2006! YouTube was still only a niche' website back then. Yeah, I never used Myspace at the time either, but that's only because I was too young. It's funny how things have changed in that regard. Kids using social media sites during the Mid-Late 2000s was thought of being inappropriate, but now it's not uncommon to see kids as young as 6 on sites such as Snapchat and Facebook.

2007 was awesome both personally and politically What do you think of the pop culture of 2007? It was one of the best gaming years and also pretty good for movies. We got some of the greatest games of all time, such as Bioshock, Super Mario Galaxy, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box, Halo 3, Forza 2, Crysis, The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, and Portal all came out that year. Though 2008 was awesome too.
