Can you type? Moreover, can you type without looking at the keyboard and were you taught the skill at school? What's your WPM (words per minute)? 10fastfingers.com/typing-test/englishI was taught this at school and I mostly know where all of the keys are located. In saying this, I was never that good either way.  For the record, my WPM average is at 39.

Interesting thread! This is how I went:  I was never actually taught the skill while I was at school. It's just something I naturally developed over time as a result of using the computer a lot.

Even though you had two wrong words that’s pretty good actually! You are considered on the higher end of average with that attempt.

Wow, you've made the rest of our scores look really bad, lol. 103 words per minute is impressive! Even though you had two wrong words that’s pretty good actually! You are considered on the higher end of average with that attempt. Thanks.  Although, after the score that rainbow got, 61 wpm seems pretty average, lol.

Not at my best rn but I'll take it. I don't use the home row like they tried to teach me in school, that's probably why haha

Not only is Australian internet slow, but it seems typing speeds are lagging as well   I had typing classes during my elementary school years.I have my own (wrong) style of typing but it was influenced a lot by what I learnt there. I can type without looking. Who remembers TypeMaster 1998 and Mario Teaches Typing?? ayyyy

Slowpoke and rainbow would make pretty decent secretaries. Yep, our internet speeds are indeed pathetic due to incompetence from successive governments over the last 5-10 years, unfortunately. I don’t remember TypeMaster, actually. We learnt typing for a few years during primary school but I haven’t any idea which programs my school used now.
