I was 12 in 2011, so I was basically out of my childhood. I'm not really nostalgic for the Early 2010s, to be honest.

I'm not really nostalgic for the early 2010s yet but I do miss it (really only 2010/11). I don't really miss 2012, and I don't like considering that year as part of my childhood either. For me, that year was really different from all the other years earlier in my childhood, even 2011. I felt like I was no longer a kid anymore already in my second year at High School and it was when I really started using technology a lot more that's when I got my IPod touch and stuff and spending time on that. It was also the first year which felt quite 10's imo, although not as much as 2013+ obviously. For some reason whenever I think of my childhood I always think 2005-2007 straight away. Idk why but I feel like those where my true childhood years, obviously 2008-2009/10 were my core childhood aswell but that's no what I think of for some reason, maybe becasue my personal life was a bit of a step down in those years but idk

Even though I was basically a teenager for most of the Early 2010s, I was still only 11 in 2010, yet i'm not really nostalgic for it at all. I guess it's because the rest of my childhood took place in the 2000's, which is probably one of the reasons why you're not as nostalgic for the Early 2010s as well.

A lot of people seem to think Nostalgia=Childhood which isn't really right. You can be nostalgic for any period of the past that feels different to the present day, it's not exclusive to someone's childhood. For example now I'm starting to become quite nostalgic for 2011, I wasn't in my core childhood anymore but I still miss it. It feels distanced enough from the current period that I can look back on it and remember all the fun I had that year, not just becasue I was young. I'm pretty sure in 2023 I'll be nostalgic for today . Either way, I'm really looking forward to the next 2 years and im feeling pretty optimistic it's gonna be a good time.

When I listen to most songs from the early 2010’s there are very few that give me nostalgia because most of the songs from then are still played on the radio. I just have more nostalgia for 2006-2008 cause it was longer ago I guess

Maybe it's because mid 2000s nostalgia is becoming more mainstream, like I don't know how many times I've heard "Pon de replay" & "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" play in the last few weeks but I rarely hear Early 2010s songs play on the radio.
