Summer 2001 The End of the Y2K era - A Reflection

Inspired by @sharksfan99 series of the same name
-Dirty Pop by Nsync becomes the last Y2K era single to be released, it's music video is played at nausea in July 2001
- SHREK ads are on everything, this movie had a very final y2k feel to it
- Sonic Adventure 2 drops & I don't remember it having that much hype
- This summer was VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY slow due to the recession that we were in
- WWF popularity drops off during The Invasion story line, people @ camp were pissed at how bad WWF was getting.
- The y2k curls and braided look ends round July, final time I remember people wearing hair like that
- The Metallic Y2k look fades out around June ish, last I remember people wearing it
- Tomb Raider the movie had massive hype
- Pop Punk Phase 2 starts becoming popular in August
- This whole summer was me counting down the days to 8th grade
- Toonami got kind of repetitive during this time
- Ps2 was still hard to buy due to shortages.
- BlockBuster Video installs a huge DVD VIDEO sign outside of the store
- Gameboy Advance drops and everyone is calling it SNES part 2
- Dragon Ball Z Lord Slug drops and Confuses the hell out of me
- Snippets of Brtineys new 2001 album Britney leak on Kazaa and hypes everyone
-Played Dark Cloud at funco Land, was pretty cool
-final time GB color is popular
