This was something I was thinking about last night. In terms of listening to music, do you tend to gravitate more towards certain childhood years more than others? What year from your childhood (ages 3-12) would you say that you listen to the most often?
I've noticed that I tend to listen to music from 2007 more than any other childhood year. Heck, i'm even finding myself listening to songs which I never thought I would enjoy listening to, such as My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers" and "Misery Business" by Paramore. Nostalgia is a powerful thing. I'm not sure why, but many of the hits from 2007 simply standout to me more than songs from the other years of my childhood. I can't say that there are any songs from 2005 or 2009 that I listen to on a regular basis, even though I am hugely nostalgic for both years and there are a number of songs which I like. It's strange really.
