By the way, if you think 2001 had the most boring summer, try 2019, it is 10 TIMES WORSE Summer 2001 was way more boring then Summer 2019 Subjective wise in my opinion ;p Summer 2001 was 2 calm and almost suspect too light, I will agree with you that summer 2019 had some MAJOR boring parts tho.

The 3 biggest news stories I remember during that summer...
1: Intern Chandra Levy’s disappearance and Congressman Gary Condit having something to do with it.
2: Shark attacks. the media dubbed it “the summer of the shark”
3: Baseball player Danny Almonte faking his age to play on a little league team.

JAWS part 2001 LMAO I remember that crap Summer 2001 was so damn slow, I was beyond bored and could not wait to get to school, The WWF/WCW Invasion was so bad and only picked up once The Rock came back and won the World Heavyweight Championship from Booker T, Toonami kept showing the same 5 episodes over and over and over

That summer both of my parents didn’t have cable at their houses since cable was an on again off again thing in our family. So this is what I remember watching that summer. 😐 The NBC promo has been stuck in my head for YEARS!

Now imagine seeing that on an early Sunday morning in April 2001 about 1:00 am with all the lights turned off when you should have been in bed. That’s how I saw it. I was in 5th Grade D.A.R.E. Class at the time and it inspired me to write my DARE essay on PSAs. (Well that and the meth cleaner girl ad was still running a lot at the time.) I Also remember this PSA the same year and some people say they remember being scared by it. But it’s nowhere near as scary as the previous one I showed IMO. I remember this one being on during episodes of Maximum Exposure and Real TV during the summer of 2001.
