What albums defined the Mid 2000s for you in a way that you can listen to the album/songs at any time and instantly feel transported back to the era?
For me personally, it would be this album: Everything about Mezmerize screams 2005 to me. Maybe i'm in the minority in regards to this, but I feel as though System of a Down's music really encompassed the social and political climate of the 2000s more so than most of their contemporary artists/bands at the time. I can actually remember the day that my Dad went down to Sanity and bought this album when it was brand new. It was the album that introduced me to System of a Down's music and for that reason, I personally rank it as high as Toxicity.
