There was a thread about bchris hating the late 2010s and thread just felt depressing I get that most people on there don't like Trump but it just feel like we're beating a dead horse at this point. It just one of those things that make me wanna stay away from inthe00s. It's nothing wrong having a different opinion but when it gets to a point of where if your not a liberal your just a bigoted Christian it just too toxic for me. I'm cool with the pop-culture stuff but the political stuff is getting annoying. I understand that there's others reasons of hating the late 10s but that thread was wayy too political.

There's a few reasons why I choose not to participate on inthe00s, but the site's American-centric focus on politics is something that is a real turn-off for me as well. It doesn't really concern me all that much though; I generally have no interest in inthe00s.

Yeah true, this site you do get to learn about Aussie and Brit pop-culture since a good chunk of the site is from those countries. I'm just tired of political debates on there. I see why @#Infinty doesn't want anything to with politics because it gets so depressing. I'm just gonna stay on popedia here on out at least here it's less polarizing and people aren't so easily butthurt.

I don’t really use the site so I should have no comment, but just here to add a big fat yes to being over politics. Not to sound indifferent to “important” topics but this beating a dead horse thing that’s running rampant in general is just tiring and unproductive.

Yeah Chris is starting to get a bit repetitive, but he is gay and lives in the Deep South and was forced to go to gay conversion therapy by his anti-gay pastor of a dad, so I can understand his deep resentment.

Yet I’m only two of those things and I’m doing just fine

I could vaguely relate to him, in the sense that there was a time when I thought that the world was scarier than it was because my own life was tragic.

I really related to bechris. InThe00s definitely isn't as great as it was in 2015, 2016-2017. All of a sudden the energy was chill, then a real cultural shift edited everything. I really just use the site for its 2000s sub.
The 2010s sub is so toxic now, the JohnTitor thread really turned into a diss fest thread.

I mean, I'm a straight white guy and I get worried about the political situation around here. It's talked about a lot because it's an ever-present and increasingly all-encompassing factor in our modern reality, and one that potentially affects people beyond the U.S.'s borders.
