Just looking at the results, I think it's interesting how 2001 hasn't received a single vote. I know it's a year that wasn't without it's negative points, but it was arguably the strongest year for music in the 2000s and there was a lot to like about the pop culture at the time as well. Second best year. It was the best year for video games in the 2000s (with 2004 and 2007 coming close)

2007. Not only do I have the most memories of that year, but I also went to two countries in that same year: Jamaica for the summer and Spain for Christmas break. That year will never be forgettable to me.

From a personal standpoint, 2006 wins every time. But more globally, like in cultural terms, it's gotta be 2000.

the special thing about 2007 is that it was futuristic and modern compared to other 00s years. I was 9, I remember. 2007 were a lot more similar to 2010 than other 00s years that came before it. honestly too modern.

I'm glad to see 2007 in the lead! While the year wasn't my favorite in terms of my experiences, it was definitely a really exciting time for games, ,music, and movies.

I actually feel as though 2007 was the most memorable year for pop culture in terms of when I personally experienced my childhood years. I have a lot of nostalgia for the Mid-Late 2000s in general, but honestly, I only ever listen to a select few songs from the other years. I've never really been much of a fan of Mid 2000s pop culture from an overall viewpoint. In the case of 2007, however, I can listen to quite a lot of the Top-40 hits from that year (e.g "Hey There Delilah", "Shut Up and Drive") and find some enjoyment out of listening to them. It's one year which I actually do wish that I could re-live.

Surprised to see 2007 leading so far, but I guess it makes sense. It's growing to be a pretty iconic year it seems, just looking at how its 10th anniversary was a big deal in 2017.

I can't choose only 1 year since there are about 6 years from the 2000s, my home era I like all equally. I wish this thread was (top 3 favorite years from the 2000s) at least.

This is tough but probably 2009. That was the year I got to visit Bahrain again to see my family

I don't think there are many people here that remember the early 2000s. I'm the sole vote for 2000.

I don't think there are many people here that remember the early 2000s. I'm the sole vote for 2000. That's definitely true. I can't even really make much of a claim myself; 2003 is the only Early 2000s year which I can vividly remember. I only have vague memories of 2001 and 2002.
