I mean- 2020 isnt bad for me personally as I feel healthier and lost 35 pounds over the course of 4 months, and I got a new dog and met new friends, but it's just that the world events that's happening are very depressing like Covid 19.

In hindsight, 2019 was a rough ride but there was also a lot that happened that year and there was a lot I liked about it (such as the music). It would have been a better year had I not been sick all summer long. The relationship issues I dealt with were very painful but that's part of life. If I would have known about the coming pandemic I would have made a few decisions during 2019 differently than I did.

In retrospect, i'm really glad that I decided to go away on my first solo holiday trips last year. Lithgow, Albury and Orange may only be several hours away from where I live, but the level of freedom and independence that I had during those trips was something that I treasured. For the first time ever, I was responsible for every single decision I made over the course of those few days, from deciding what to eat, where to go, how much money to spend etc. I loved it. Unfortunately, with border closures and other restrictions now in place due to the coronavirus, it may be a long time until I am able to go away on a solo trip again, but I really hope that I get the opportunity to do so one day.
