I don't think so. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj are established pop stars, I doubt these songs would have ever become hits.

I still have a hard time telling what the difference between electropop and EDM is supposed to be other than the drop-beat chorus

Those songs sound like middling pop from circa 2014-2016, except "Megatron" which sounds incredibly current. "You Need to Calm Down" is basically a 1989 reject, while "Mother's Day" sounds like those poorly produced early Trap-Pop fusions from 2016. I still have a hard time telling what the difference between electropop and EDM is supposed to be other than the drop-beat chorus The difference boils down to Electropop songs being more structured like other normal Pop songs (huge emphasis on verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-final chorus structure), while EDM songs are more focused on buildups and drops. I do agree that are a lot of songs exist that blur the line though, so you can call them both in those instances like say "We Found Love" or "Party Rock Anthem". Here's a pretty good example of Electropop. It's basically all synthesized but the song is heavily drawn like a normal Pop song. You can basically make this song into an acoustic version with no problem: Despite the presence vocals, the focus is mostly on the electronic instrumentals. Making an acoustic version out of this would be very challenging and you'd end up lousing a lot of the song anyway. It's pure EDM:
