I'd say Miley Cyrus? No one seems to remember that she actually released an album back in 2017 (which tanked pretty badly by the way), nor does the new stuff she's releasing this year seem to gain any traction whatsoever. It's so bad that even her dad seems to completely overshadow her now.
Other artists I'd say vanished from sight:
Robin Thicke: His case is actually pretty sad if you read what happened to him after "Blurred Lines" exploded back in 2013.
PSY: He's technically not a one-hit wonder considering "Gentleman" was also a pretty huge song as well. But after that, the guy kind of dropped off. Odd considering the enthusiasm for K-Pop in the West is currently as big as it ever has been.
Desiigner: Dude has kept releasing stuff since 2016 but nothing comes close to the popularity of "Panda" and "Tiimmy Turner". Audiences for Trap seem very fickle: one year they eat up an artist, the other they don't even dare to touch their new stuff (see Migos, Future, ILoveMakonnen, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, and so on).

I can't speak for elsewhere, but here in Australia at least, "Malibu" (the lead-single off her 2017 album) was relatively successful. It peaked at #3 on our charts and I can remember hearing it quite often on the radio. I do agree though that she seems to have fallen out of the limelight. "Mothers Daughter" hasn't had any real impact on the charts or the music scene in general.

Yeah, but I was spefically talking about the album. It's odd to me that "Younger Now" was swept under the rug to such an extent despite having a hit in "Malibu", and of course none of the other singles did nowhere near as good.

I'm wondering if the timing between the releases of Bangerz and Younger Now may have had anything to do with it? I know Her Dead Petz came out in August 2015, however that was only an independent release on SoundCloud. Only her dedicated fans would have been aware of it's existence. Bangerz and Younger Now were released almost four years apart, so that was essentially four years where Miley Cyrus was not forefront of the music scene and following the most recent trends. Younger Now might have performed better on the charts if it had of been released in 2015 or even 2016.

Gotye is another one. This is an unpopular opinion, but I actually think "Eyes Wide Open" is a better song than "Somebody That I Used To Know". I'd really recommend checking out his 2011 album if you haven't already.

To be honest, listening to "Somebody That I Used To Know" this afternoon is the only reason as for why I thought of him.

What has Charlie Puth been up to recently? He had a string of hits between 2015-2017 and "Attention" was a pretty big hit, however I haven't heard of him since.

He’s currently working on a new album and has already released a few songs for it. He also made “How Long” which was a pretty big hit last year.

Actually, speaking of some of the artists mentioned in this thread, I heard just this morning that Adele is currently in the process of writing new music as well. It will be interesting to see if their new albums will be as successful as their earlier work.
