In the latter half of this decade, escape rooms seem to have been a big trend. Have you gone to one/do you enjoy them? Do you think they will last into the 2020's? Does this represent a new trend in entertainment overall?

I've been planning on going to one since the beginning of this decade but my plans always fall through.

I've heard of "escape rooms" before, but I honestly don't know what they are like or how you would even get to one. If they're a huge trend at the moment, I could see them lasting well into the Early 2020s, however I think they will begin to decline in popularity by the middle of the decade.

I first saw what escape rooms were in the tv show The Middle around 6 years ago and it seemed fun, so I'd like to go to one in the future. I've seen a few of them in Melbourne.

I watched a psychological horror film titled Escape Room last night. It only came out at the start of this year. Basically, it was about a group of five people who are sent to navigate a series of escape rooms, only to then discover that their fates are tied to whether or not they can solve the puzzles in time. Not sure if anyone else here has watched it? I know it's not exactly realistic, but watching that movie has turned me off from ever wanting to go to one now.
