Thought this would be an appropriate place for this.
This is the place to post your video gaming collection and share memories of what you own/owned and play/played both consoles and actual games while growing up.
Consoles:
Sega - The first ever console I owned was an old Master System which my grandparents got for me when I was like 6 or 7 years old for Christmas.
Nintendo - I own or have owned most of Nintendo’s consoles right from the Nintendo 64 to the GameCube and the Wii. I’m yet to get a Switch but will at some stage.
PlayStation - I still own my original PS1 and PS2 and own a PS4 unit but sold my old PS3 recently.
Microsoft - Obviously a PC to start with. And I owned an Xbox but I found not many of its games interested me so sold it a couple of years later and never bought any of the following consoles released.
Games:
I’ve owned and played many of the biggest best-selling franchise games over the years like Mario, Star Fox, Banjo-Kazooie Donkey King, Sonic, Pokémon, Grand Theft Auto, SimCity, The Sims, Crash Bandicoot and various car racing games like Midnight Club etc.
I still play the likes of SimCity and The Sims on the PC. And along with some other selected titles, I’m currently playing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which is a remaster of all of the previous games released.
Edit: Thought I’d add some actual titles -
Some favourite Sega games: Sonic the Hedgehog Alex Kidd in Miracle World Back to the Future III Ecco the Dolphin
Some favourite Nintendo games: Mario Kart 64 Diddy Kong Racing Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie James Bond: Goldeneye 007: The World Is Not Enough Animal Crossing Donkey Kong 64 Doom 64 Duke Nukem 64 Super Mario 64 Wave Race 64 Star Fox 64 F-Zero X Mickey's Speedway USA Perfect Dark Pokémon Stadium South Park Top Gear Rally Yoshi's Story Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Some favourite PlayStation games: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex Midnight Club Gran Turismo Need For Speed Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Grand Theft Auto III Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Some favourite Xbox games: AFL Live 2003 AFL Live 2005 GoldenEye: Rogue Agent Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Mario Kart 64 is still one of my favourite games out there (great memories! 😭):
Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Master System was the first game I ever played and this brings back plenty of memories:
Banjo-Kazooie is another classic:

Great thread idea EyewitnessTV ! *WARNING - This is a very long post! Consoles: PlayStation (1999 - Late 2003):This was my first console. My Dad had bought it a couple of years before I was born, however after my parents divorced, it was left for me to use while I was growing up. I think I started to play it sometime in 2001, when I was only 2. My Grandparents bought the console for $50 in Late 2003, because I was getting a PS2 for Christmas and my cousins & I could play the PlayStation whenever we came over their house. A couple of years ago, my Uncle bought the console off my Grandparents and now he owns it. At least it's still in the family. A few of my favourite Playstation games were: * Runabout 2 * World's Scariest Police Chases * Stuart Little 2 * Driver I still own "Runabout 2","World's Scariest Police Chases" and "Driver". However, I don't really play them anymore. PS2 (Christmas 2003-):
As I explained above, I got my PS2 as a present for Christmas 2003. I played on the PS2 for most of my childhood and I still own the console today. My favourite PS2 games were/are: * Hulk (based off the 2003 movie with Eric Banner) * Stuart Little 3 (as you can see, I was a big fan of Stuart Little growing up ) * Driver 3 * Gameboy Advance SP (Christmas 2004-2008):
I got this console as a Christmas present in 2004. It was easily my most favourite console throughout the time that I had it. It's a shame that it had such a horrible demise; it got smashed by a baseball. The worst thing about it was that it damaged the inside of the console, not the outside, so I couldn't get it fixed. Nintendo DS Lite (Christmas 2008-):
Well because my Gameboy Advance SP got smashed by a baseball, I was given a Nintendo DS Lite as a Christmas present the same year. I ended up getting a limited edition DS Lite. It is blue on the outside and black on the inside. Nintendo Wii (Christmas 2008 - Late 2016):
I also got a Nintendo Wii for Christmas that year. Xbox (Mid 2009 -):
A friend of mine had a Xbox. I thought there were a lot of games available on the console itself, so the thought of that seemed really appealing to me and as a result, I wanted to buy one. However, little did I know that my friend actually owned a "chip", which was inserted into his Xbox console and allowed him to play any Xbox game he wanted, without actually owning the discs. Without realising, I went with my Dad to EB Games and bought a pre-owned Xbox for $60, thinking that it would be exactly like the console my friend owned. Turns out that it wasn't. Although, despite this, I still played the Xbox console pretty regularly. My favourite Xbox game was/is "Top Spin". PSP (Christmas 2009 -):
I also got a green 2000-model PSP the following Christmas. Gameboy Color (Mid 2010-):
I must have been suffering Gameboy withdrawal symptoms, because I decided to buy a pre-owned Gameboy Color off Ebay in Mid 2010. I played the console on the odd occasion, but in the end, it ended up being a waste of money. At least it was only cheap! PS3 (Mid 2012-):
After having wanted to own a PS3 for almost five years, I finally bought one for $200 in Mid 2012! The PS3 introduced to GTA and the FIFA series, both of which are now one of my favourite series of games. PS4 (17th Birthday -):
I received a PS4 as a birthday present last year. Admittedly, I currently own just three PS4 games; FIFA 16, GTA V and FIFA 17. Despite what this post suggests, I have never actually been a "full-on" gamer. I've never played games such as Call of Duty, Halo or Minecraft. Games: I’ve owned and played many of the biggest best-selling franchise games over the years like Mario, Star Fox, Banjo-Kazooie Donkey King, Sonic, Pokémon, Grand Theft Auto, SimCity, The Sims, Crash Bandicoot and various car racing games like Midnight Club etc. I still play the likes of SimCity and The Sims on the PC. And along with some other selected titles, I’m currently playing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which is a remaster of all of the previous games released. Mario Kart 64 is still one of my favourite games out there (great memories! 😭): Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Master System was the first game I ever played and this brings back plenty of memories: Banjo-Kazooie is another classic: Do you play SimCity 4? SimCity 4 is one of my favourite games and I play the game on an almost daily basis!

I got the console as a Christmas present in 2005 and I was probably the happiest I ever was! Interesting, thanks for sharing SharksFan99 and @zampakid . 🙂👍 SharksFan99 Yeah, I play SimCity whenever I have some free time (usually a few times a week). Somehow I forgot to list my handheld consoles. 😊 Here they are: GameBoy - I owned the original GameBoy (got this for a Christmas present) which was in a grey colour. I had that for a couple of years IIRC before it was somehow dropped down some stairs and met it’s demise! 😋 My parents then got a replacement which by that stage was a second generation console and it was a green colour from memory. GameBoy Colour - Some years later I got the GameBoy Colour for a Birthday present which I got in the colour purple as there weren’t any other colours available at the time (this gen was a huge step up from the previous original gen which only displayed in black and white whereas this displayed... well in colour obviously). GameBoy Advanced - I got this for my 10th Birthday in 2002 and I owned the Indigo colour. Out of the previous consoles, I bought the most games with the Advanced. I never bought the redesigned SP unit unlike you as it came out the following year so never bothered despite it having a far better overall design and backlit screens to the original model I owned. Nintendo DS - Again I owned the original DS model as opposed to the redesign DS Lite which came out years later. I bought the silver colour when it first got released in early 2005 (I still remember the hype surrounding it with the whole “revolutionary” touchscreen and stylus pen to play with which was really cool at the time). I later upgraded to a black DSi model when that released in 2009 (another Birthday present), but it was kinda a waste of money in the end as it wasn’t really used that much. I think I ended up buying like 50+ games for this gen console which was easily the most for any of the handhelds I previously owned. Nintendo 3DS - I bought this and it was in a red colour and it was given to me for my 20th in 2012. Since I’ve owned this I’ve bought around 20 or so games for it but it hasn’t been anywhere near used as previous consoles as I’ve had less time over the years to regularly play it and I’ve kinda lost interest in playing the handhelds. PSP - I got the first PlayStation handheld for my 13th which I got in the colour white. This was never used that much as not many of the games realeased for it interested me that much. However I got GTA and a few car racing games for it though. I’ve since never bought any of the following Sony handhelds.

PSP (2009-)It was a gift from my sister on Christmas 2009. I owned very little games for that console but here are my favourites: Crash Tag Team Racing GTA Vice City Stories GTA Liberty City Stories At least I’m not the only one who bought so few games for the PSP. It was a very disappointing handheld with so few games that interested me. I never bothered purchasing the following generation PS Vita.

I haven’t got one yet, but seeing as SharksFan99 you have a Wii, do you have any intentions of getting a Switch at any stage? Also just curious, but how come @zampakid you never owned any Nintendo or Microsoft consoles? 😃 *I have now added a selection of favourite games from my consoles to the first post.

But my grandparents had a Commodore 64 and Sega Genesis consoles during the 90s and early 2000's that I use to play both of them before they broke down. As for Microsoft, I don't have a X-Box but my Windows 10 computer is pretty much a X-Box console but I never got around to set it up.

Probably not, to be honest. I already own a lot of gaming consoles as it is and I don't play them all that often anymore. It would only be a waste of money if I bought a Switch.

I haven’t entirely made up my mind whether to get one yet or not as I have less time set aside for gaming these days because of work and studies. Back to PC games for a minute, but did either of @zampakid or SharksFan99 ever play Wacky Wheels?
