I don't know how this is going to turn out, but it's an idea that I've had for a while and I thought that it might be worth doing. This is inspired by John Titor 's "atmosphere" threads. Popedia itself is a documentation of the latest trends happening in pop culture and the media, so as time goes on, it can be interesting to look back on how we all perceived the latest as they were happening.
Here's a look back on what was happening back in October 2017:
October 2017:
@sydneycitytv - "Admittedly, I was expecting last night's debut of Family Food Fail...sorry, Fight to rate higher. No complaints from this end though. I think the program very well could dip below the 500k mark within the week and probably quietly moved to later in the evening after that." Link.
longaotian - "Im sorry, it's now October 2017 and I really don't wanna hear anymore songs by Ed Sheeran. No offence, he's not my favourite artist and some of his songs are alright but, he's had so many songs released this year that play on the radio often and I'm so over hearing his voice it's starting to become a joke. Also any new release by Charlie Puth is just trash . I also find the new song by Maroon 5 to be pretty annoying. And now I'm done with my ranting for today lol..........." Link.
SharksFan99 - * "So Sorry" - Demi Lovato. The radio stations in my region have been flogging this song to death. It's pretty much played every hour or so." Link.
rainbow - "2012 hands down has been one of my favorite years for movies so far. I think 2017 is a little bit of a meh for movies." Link.
longaotian - "....I think things defintly have changed since 2013, however 2017 is still quite mid2010s imo" Link.
"
SharksFan99 - "I think self-driving cars are going to do more harm than good. I know that technology has evolved to such a point where self-driving cars are safe and ethical, but I would still prefer to drive a "dumb car" and not solely rely on technology for driving. " Link.
@zampakid - [Referring to Tony Abbott] "Whenever he says something extremely dumb, the more I really dislike him! It really makes us wonder why he's still running in politics despite being thrown out a PM... " Link.
EyewitnessTV - "I know. Wasn’t he supposed to be a smart man? The more you hear from him the more stupid he gets. 😣 Why he can’t just recognise he’s irrelevant now and piss off already is amazing. So dumb. Help us all if he ever did run again and become PM. 😱" Link.
SharksFan99 - "Is it just me, or has the guitar been featured in quite a lot of new releases this year? I definitely think that rock is making a gradual comeback to the mainstream." Link.
