I thought it might be kinda fun to share about dishes we’ve prepared and some of our favorite recipes, and just overall encourage each other with cooking. Tonight I made a cherry clafoutis. It’s an easy dessert/breakfast and a good way to use up extra fruit. Clafoutis Recipe

My parents came back from vacation so I won't be cooking as much as I have been. What you posted looks delicious. Breakfast is the one meal I have some control over. I might just try it! I had a plain old spicy omelette this morning. Two eggs, a pinch (1/4 of a teaspoon) of salt, black pepper, and red chilli powder. Beat. Heat a frying pan with a generous amount of cooking oil to just under medium and cook for 4-6 minutes, cut into four pieces, flip, cook for a minute or so. Not the healthiest breakfast, but takes about 15 minutes to make

Here’s how it came out: It’s still good with plain fruit but I used some maraschino cherries I made that had been in the fridge too long. Basically to make those you boil some water, sugar, spices and rum and then soak fresh cherries. So yummm.

I like the look of that chocolate cake in particular, but to be honest, I would probably only be able to eat one piece at the most. It would be too sickly for me otherwise.

My only experience with cooking is using the microwave to reheat some leftover Mcdonalds fries.
