Have you ever been in a car accident?

Yes, but thankfully nothing serious. The first incident happened just over a year ago, when I was behind a car that was waiting at a roundabout. The driver of the car in front of me wasn't paying attention and because the approach to the roundabout is on an incline, the car rolled back and hit the front of my car. Thankfully my car wasn't damaged at all. The second incident happened just a few months later, only a kilometre away from the previous incident. The speed limit along the road was 80 km/h (22 m/s) and the car in front of me suddenly came to a complete stop just as they were about to drive over a hill (which is a blindspot). The brakes of my car were faulty at the time, so even though I slammed my foot on the brake, I wasn't able to stop in time to avoid hitting the back of her car. The woman got out of her car and then abused me for hitting it. Both of our cars weren't damaged at all, so nothing more came about. By the way, welcome back!

Minor bumper to bumper stuff, so luck, truly.
My parents have been involved in accidents. Several years ago mum was run off the road and crashed down an embankment after someone failed to give way to her, she was fine, the car was repaired.
Sadly, an old family friend actually passed away early this year, she was only in her teens, sadly. She was a passenger, and the car rolled several times after the driver swerved to miss debris on the road, (causing her to lose control and crash into a barrier, rolling it).

ope, i'm basically accident prone and so it's no surprise that i've been in three accidents already.. the first one i got T-boned, then the last two didnt involve anyone else but still did some damage.
earlier this month i hydroplaned during a horrible storm on the highway, the car lost all traction and i flipped into a ditch. also, this is a new car i bought in july, and im not familiar with driving sports cars so i haven't been taking it as easy as i should've. the cop on the scene gave me a ride home so i had the back of a cop car experience too lolol. im just thankful for insurance, my car is still in the shop with a couple thousand dollars of work but i just have to pay my $1,000 deductible so thats a huge relief.

That's awful to hear about. Unfortunately, the majority of people would probably attempt to do the exact same thing if they saw a bit of a debris on the road. It can happen so quickly, you don't have time to think ahead. earlier this month i hydroplaned during a horrible storm on the highway, the car lost all traction and i flipped into a ditch. also, this is a new car i bought in july, and im not familiar with driving sports cars so i haven't been taking it as easy as i should've. the cop on the scene gave me a ride home so i had the back of a cop car experience too lolol. Jeez, I bet that must have been frightening! It's good to hear that you are okay though. Hydroplaning is something that I have always been really worried about, tbh. Thankfully I have only ever experienced it a couple of times and it wasn't anything too serious, but I always drive at least 10 km/h under the speed limit when it's raining just to try and avoid it as much as possible. My car's tyres don't have that great of a tread as it is; they can lose traction just from taking off from a set of traffic lights at a slow speed (when there is water on the road). As a result, I always try to avoid even the littlest of puddles on the road, lol. It must have been really strange being in the back of a cop car. Just out of curiosity, what type of sports car do you own?

Just out of curiosity, what type of sports car do you own? i have the scion tC 9.0 edition. its more of a sporty-ish daily driver than anything lol but i love it. and yeah my tires are the same way the whole thing was more thrilling than frightening which was probably all the adrenaline, haha. my panic was mostly about wondering how i would come up with the money to fix it. i expected i would get in an accident as bad as this one, but i was just hoping it would be down the line when i learned more about cars and was able to fix some things myself & be able to know whether or not i'm getting duped by auto shops, which i sorta do know a bit more now i guess. the cop car ride was interesting fr! the seats are hella hard and i felt like i was in a dog kennel the entire time. and then the cop had to like chauffeur me outta the car since the doors are locked in lmao.
