use her good looks to attract more male viewers back to the show Hahaha Each to their own of course. But yeah, I’m not sure. I mean she is not ugly but she is not THAT attractive either. if that was Nine’s angle then you have to wonder.

Just to clarify, i'm not saying that I personally find her overly attractive, in case that's what you thought. I'm just speaking from the perspective of the executives at Nine and how they may have had the mindset that appointing Erin to the show might have enticed more men to watch.

Yeah...maybe it's just me but I'm personally more concerned about the knowledge/personality of our broadcasters (of sport and in general) than their appearance.
For what it's worth: I think Erin Molan is an OK presenter (although I haven't been a fan of her roles on 20 to 1 and The NRL Footy Show - should a respected sports broadcaster/journalist really be fronting these shows?) although Yvonne Sampson was/is better - a pity that Nine let her go to Fox League although thankfully the news service managed to retain Yvonne's husband!

Not a big Rugby League fan, but Phil Gould always comes across as quite grumpy on Channel Nine's coverage. Always looks as though he doesn't want to be there. I really liked Stephen Quartermain as an AFL commentator on Channel 10.

It's rare for Phil Gould to smile or to express any positivity whatsoever. If he's not complaining about what he is seeing on the field while commentating, he's talking about how the referees are ruining the state of the game or how the NRL's administrators are not having the best interests of the fans at heart. Phil Gould has an excellent knowledge of the game, but he needs to learn to lighten up.
