I mean, just look at this:
I don't know if it's going to be the dominant aesthetic or motif of the decade, but simplistic, warm moods are becoming the norm. Enough about all this talk about our culture getting darker - I mean, yeah, some parts of it are, but this is also significant.

I could def see this happening, its a contrast to the dark and dysfunctional mood of 2016-2018

I personally haven't noticed that aesthetic so much here, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if this is what ends up defining the Early 2020s at least.

This is sort of in line for what I'm currently predicting. We've had too much of this wannabe grungy, faux rustic/distressed, "dysfunctional" to quote John, thing for a while. I like some of it, don't get me wrong, but it's gotten too widespread and is wearing thin. Hopefully this will correlate with some of the social changes we've been working on this decade. We've been stuck in the gutter, now let's get the hell out of it, as a feeling would be nice.

wannabe grungy, faux rustic/distressed, "dysfunctional" What do you mean, like the hipster aesthetic? I'm just not following. Although I do agree with wanting to get out of this funk of our country being and feeling broken - I'd like us to get united and become decent people again.

Although I do agree with wanting to get out of this funk of our country being and feeling broken - I'd like us to get united and become decent people again. Basically, yes. I was envisioning the "hip new restaurant starter pack". Though I should add, I don't necessarily think the gritty imperfection thing will go away. I and I think a lot of others enjoy some elements of it. But I think it will lose its edge factor and we'll instead see more of a happy, sunny vibe coexisting among it. That makes me think of fashion beginning to use alternative types of models. Earlier in the decade, this was starting just by high fashion lines using people who were more "heroin chic" but has blossomed into mainstream brands, most notably Aerie, featuring people of all colors and sizes. It's not just to be cool anymore, but because we collectively believe its right. I think design and overall concepts of living will increasingly move towards the Japanese concept "of wabi-sabi". We're all exhausted from this idea of insta-perfection and maybe between all the changes that have happened and our desire for increased transparency, it will become more accepted. source

Do any of you guys feel like Lizzo’s vibe kinda goes along with this? That's what I was thinking. Her self-love and confident attitude in her songs really resonate with today's music listeners and I welcome her for it.

imagine time traveling back to 2009 or 2010 and saying the end of 2019 will have many lo fi songs and almost no electropop

imagine time traveling back to 2009 or 2010 and saying the end of 2019 will have many lo fi songs and almost no electropop No one would have predicted it, but in a way, it doesn't really surprise me. Bedroom-pop/lo-fi is likely the evolution of the indie-pop scene.
