The fact is that you got my point way wrong. You got my point way wrong. Your original statement was "people didn't hate 2016" which I assumed was talking about when it was going on due to past sentence (again rebutted by you by saying "past sentence doesn't matter" [which again is an illogical response]), which I rebutted by presenting you a sample of stuff from the year itself which proved that indeed a backlash was happening at the time. Then you rebutted by saying "I was talking about now" (which was irrelevant to my original post where it's clearly stated that it was about the general end-of-the-year sickness of back then) and "those didn't happen back then" which the latter as an argument didn't make much sense besides outright disregarding my original point and which you seem to correctly aknowledge now. ________________ Anyway, I don't desire to continue this discussion that has blown way out of the question. There's a clear disconnect here and we're turning in circles as a result. If you want to make contradicting rebuttals and illogical continuations, then it is not up to me.
