Ermm how can you hate the copycat Jennifer Lopez version of this? That song was my ish, probably my favourite song of the 2000s  Didn't say I hate J-Lo's song, but it's definitely a lesser copy  At least the faves would sing on the chorus.

I heard this song for the first time last week, and on the radio of all places too. Its such a great song, why weren't Jimmy Eat World more popular than what they were? This didn't even chart here.

A lot of people seem to think that the rise of Katy Perry in 2008 marked some incoming early 2010s influences. Which is very odd to me, because not only was her first big hit "I Kissed a Girl" stylistically very different from anything in the early 2010s, but the very questionable use of lesbianism/bisexuality of that song to pander to a male audience is extremely reminiscent of the 2002 hit "All the Things She Said" than any subsequent song.
Not to mention her very first song was a huge casualty of one of the most dated aspects of the 2000s:
Really in my opinion she's far more of a trendfollower rather a trendsetter.

I just heard this on the radio. Brought back so many memories of 2006. This was probably one of the first songs I remember hearing on the radio, when I was 3-4 years old.

I randomly had this song stuck in my head a couple of days ago. I've known about it ever since I first watched Shrek as a little kid, but I only discovered the name of it this afternoon. "Stay Home" makes me so nostalgic for both the early 2000s and my childhood in general. Forget "All Star", this is the best song off Shrek IMO!

I must be going through something of a 2009 reappraisal phase at the moment, because this is another song from 2009 which I rediscovered the other day (through an episode of CSI Miami funnily enough). Ironically, I can remember not liking "Never Say Never" at the time as I thought it was too soppy and overdramatic, but now I think it's actually pretty good. I can remember this song from when I was 10 and I actually quite like it, but until this morning, I never knew that it was a Katy Perry song! No lie I've always liked this song, but for some reason I never heard it til her second album was out. Ah okay, that's interesting. I've been aware of it ever since it was on the charts (because I can remember hearing it on the radio quite a lot back in 2009), but for whatever reason, I just never discovered who the artist was until this past week. I'm glad I did though! I've been playing it a lot over the past few days, lol.

Heard this on the radio tonight. I honestly forgot this song existed! I remember it from when I was younger, which is interesting, because it charted when I wasn't even two years old. Perhaps it was still getting airplay a year or two after.

I can remember hearing this song when I was a kid and I've always been a fan of the chorus. However, until this morning, I had no idea who it was actually by. I was always under the impression that "Round, Round" was a Garbage song, because the vocals during the chorus remind me of Shirley Manson and the overall sound is reminiscent of the band IMO. Last year I even went to the trouble of listening to every Garbage single ever released just to try and rediscover it, but it was to no avail. I hadn't heard it again until I was on my way to work this morning and the radio station I was listening to decided to play it!

You just made me remember a song from a very long time which I forgot about too lol Thanks haha This song was pretty popular I remember in Aus too by the same group, which I heard a couple of weeks ago on the radio.

I heard this one today for the first time in a long time:
When I was in middle school I listened to this song constantly! The lyrics may not be exactly PC today, but I always thought it was goofy and fun. I haven't heard any of Steriogram's other stuff, but maybe I'll venture a look later today.
