This is some of the slang and phrases I remember being popular at some point during the mid-2010’s, or for all the mid-2010’s.
“Cancer” (Used to talk about something you don’t like, basically the same way “toxic” and “cringe” are used today.”
“Turnt” (means partying)
“Bae” (term you used to indicate your partner that you’re in a relationship with)
“Netflix and chill” (usually means sex)
“Selfie stick”
“Rekt” (destroyed)
“No chill” (used to indicate people that are not calm or rational)
“Or nah”
“On fleek” (used to indicate that something is on point)

The only one i'm not familiar with is "Turnt". I can't remember ever hearing anyone say that at my school. “Cancer” (Used to talk about something you don’t like, basically the same way “toxic” and “cringe” are used today.” That one used to really piss me off. Not only do I think that it's unjust to make jokes about cancer in the first place, but my Grandma passed away from cancer when I was 8. I always felt like telling people to f*** off whenever I heard it being used in that context. These are two other ones which I can remember: * "Milf" - This was popular during the second-half of 2015. * Back in 2014, when the Ebola epidemic was ongoing, kids would make comments like, "would you like Ebola cereal?".

Omg yes the "ebola" jokes. I feel like I'm finally not hearing "bae" anymore.
Even though I would call it more of an early 2010's thing, I still was seeing "yolo" a bit in 2014 or so.

Idk if lit counts. I used the internet a lot back in the mid 10s, i used words like rekt and cancer lmao back in 2015 lots of people use autism as an insult even as far as telling someone to drink bleach. I’m guilty, i use autism as an insult but i only use it for those who act ignorant it’s in no way meant to offend people who actually have autism and can act mature.

I completely forgot about "lit". Is it still said by high school kids now? I remember it was a pretty popular phrase back in 2015/16.

Lol, definitely "Lit". Also I heard "triggered" a lot around 2016/7.
Early 2010s were the days of "Swag", "Yolo" and "Skux", loll.

Thot (still being used today) got big during my senior year of high school (2013-14). I believe that term might have replaced the other one "Ratchet" which was popular in the early 10s. I remember hearing that thanks to YouTube and Vine videos. I bet anyone who had that name was annoyed by it because it was always a joke.
