To explain the question, are we living in a post-core 2010s world right now? I believe so. There aren't many clear signs of 2020s culture right now but we are moving away from the 2010s so far. There has been less mumble rap and EDM songs on the charts. Post Malone became the face of Pop music. Fashion became very colorful and escaped from the earthy, normcore trends of the core 2010s. Gen Z is increasingly taking over pop culture and they starting are move away from Instagram to other social media apps like TikTok, VSCO, and Discord. Game of Thrones has ended in the spring of 2019 and shows like Bojack Horseman is ending soon. Millennials are moving away from the cities and into the suburbs in large numbers.

Oh, without a doubt. Fear, uncertainty, and a lot of anger. And yeah, the late 10s are marked by quite a bit of colorful clothing, bi-lighting, and faux ‘80s aesthetics. Which sucks for me because I hate the 80s. So so much.

We are 100% no longer in the core 2010's anymore. People still use Instagram and Snapchat a lot. Discord has replaced Skype and is one of the most popular things right now. Fortnite is still popular.
I'm not sure if there is 2020's culture yet because we don't know how the early 2020's will be. We'll have to wait and see.

Which sucks for me because I hate the 80s. So so much. 1980s social attitudes as well. Fundamentalist Christianity and overwhelming hatred against anyone who doesn't follow its norms dominates everything right now. Racism, misogyny, and homophobia are "cool" again. I would say 1950s nostalgia is also a big thing right now. People long for an era when traditional values reigned supreme and everyone conformed to societal norms. An America like the one pictured in "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Leave it to Beaver." We have become a very anti-science and anti-intellectual culture. The economy on the edge of collapse and nobody cares because "Jesus" and "abortion" and "LGBTXWSDOAIHFOASIFHG." I HATE this era. I hope we aren't the Republic of Gilead by the time it ends. I'd also say late '10s culture is primarily driven by Baby Boomers, not Millennials are Gen Z.

I’m saying that we are in the cusp between dying 2010s culture and upcoming 2020s culture.

I’m not sure how else we were meant to interpret “a period of uncertainty.” An ambiguously ‘10s/‘20s culture does not appear to be how anyone interpreted it, except Rainbow apparently.

You could say that we were in a period of uncertainty surrounding this thread? excuse me I would say the only reason it looks uncertain is because we don't know what the early 2020s will be like, and that's always been the case. But I can say for sure that 2019 is not core 2010s.

I'm excited and sad at the same time leaving the 2010s. Anybody else feel that way?

Um, regardless of era, nothing is ever certain.
