Welcome to the inaugural Popedia A-League Tipping Competition! The rules for the tipping comp are as follows: * Two points will be awarded for victories that are correctly tipped. For instance, if you tipped the Melbourne Victory to win in a Victory vs Wanderers match, you will be awarded two points for tipping the winning team. * For correctly tipping a draw, you will be awarded three points. One point will be awarded if the team you tipped to win a match finishes as a draw. * Four points will be awarded for correctly tipping the Grand Final winner.* Please send in your tips before the start of each round. Experienced tippers who have not tipped before each round, will be awarded a point for each away team victory. For instance, if you did not tip before Round 20 and the Roar won away from home, you will be awarded a point (depending on if you were apart of the competition for previous rounds). * Also, please feel free to join the 2019/20 A-League Tipping Competition at any time! You don't have to have a good knowledge of football/soccer to join. I personally know next to nothing about the AFL and I won the most recent AFL tipping comp, lol.  This is all just for fun. I hope you enjoy this year’s tipping competition and I wish you the best of luck.

It wouldn’t be much fun just the two of us. Sorry to tag you guys, but are telemelbs , Qwerty , AussieTV or perhaps even @zampakid interested in joining this?

You don't have to have an interest in the A-League to take part. I mean, i'm not into the AFL, yet I participated in the AFL tipping competition and somehow managed to win it, lol. Is this something that you would be interested in longaotian ? New Zealand do have a team in the A-League, so I thought I would ask in the off chance.

I am only a casual A-League fan, but i've heard nothing about it at all anywhere. I actually assumed that Western United were entering the competition next year as I have heard nothing about them either. What a fail for a new team.

I haven’t watched a single second of A-League in my entire life. You should watch one of the Sydney or Melbourne derbies. Victory and City are playing each other tonight. the season must not be publicised much? It's because football went through a bit of a transition during the off-season. The A-League clubs broke away from the FFA (the governing body of the sport) two months ago and have now taken control of the competition. As a result, they were strapped for time in spending money to advertise the upcoming season.
