Inspired by a post I made in the "25 Albums in 2019" thread, I decided to give Chuck by Sum 41 a relisten, and there was one song I had to skip over because I knew I'd fall apart hearing it, and I was not in the mood. The only rule in this thread is that you post the lyrics that made you cry. I had no friends, I was bullied at school, my grandmother passed away, my mom was depressed, she gave birth to my sister who had birth complications and was in the ICU and would probably die any minute (she is alive and well today). I felt completely hopeless. Listening to this song had me sobbing late into the night at 4AM.

When I was 17-18, I was experiencing the height of my depression and it was around that time that I started to get suicidal thoughts. Watching this music video would put me on the verge of tears, because I could put myself in the shoes of the suicidal man who is about to jump to his death. It's a very powerful song.

This reminds me of my realization that I'm living in a fake world. I had a nice and preppy childhood which turned out to be a lie. What I thought was reality turned out to be just a TV shoot.
