What's funny is I find it hard to believe I made this thread, since I really like 2019 now I had a hunch that 2020(s) wouldn't be able to hold a candle to 2010(s), but I didn't have a pandemic in mind

Well here we are on March 27th 2020 and this year has been HORRIBLE so far! In fact, 2020 is so bad that it's even making me miss 2017-2019 ALREADY, which I never thought was possible.

With this corona crisis and the fairly dark prospects that will come after it (economical depression and whatnot), I could now easily see the 2020s being an extremely different world from the 2010s with 2020 being a harsh cutoff between the two worlds.
In any case I've never seen the whole world in such a panicked and hopeless state as right now and 2020 will definitely go down as the most surreal year of the post-WWII era.

I don't believe at this point that there's any going back to the world of 2019. Coronavirus is a once-per-generation history changing event. The next decade will likely be defined by the recovery from this pandemic and most are predicting that things won't simply go back to normal. I think a bad economy is something we're going to have to deal with for at least the next five years and that's being optimistic.

Well, so far, it DEFINITELY won't compare. The late 2010s, which were tumultuous themselves, were MILES better than the massive and uncertain threat humanity is facing right now.

2017 and 2018 were way better than this year. Yes, it is no longer the 2010s even culturally now just like how 2000-mid 2001 were culturally like the 90s and 2010-2012 were culturally like the 2000s. Only January and February of this year were culturally like the 2010s.

I made a post in 2019 saying how I could already feel a "shift" was coming but did not know, I also posted a thread about Astrologers thinking a 9/11 type event was coming for Q1 2020, it looks like unfortunately it came true

I predict that some time between now and the heat death of the universe, there will be an even bigger tragedy than the coronavirus. There, I now have the prophetic powers of an astrologer.

I predict that some time between now and the heat death of the universe, there will be an even bigger tragedy than the coronavirus. There, I now have the prophetic powers of an astrologer. The coronavirus and the economic catastrophe it's caused is unprecedented in U.S. history. It has pretty much destroyed everything. The reality we are living in now was unthinkable six months ago. This is the kind of stuff horror movies are made about. The time period from now until around 2035 is going to be the most perilous anyone alive today has ever experienced. Not many people from the Greatest Generation are still around.
Sadly, in our lifetimes we'll probably see the climate catastrophe cause a crisis that's even worse.

Aha, I was right! I am a more powerful predictor than an astrologer.

If we don't see an phenomenon hype cultural shift THAT I can noticed, the coronavirus already cut me off the 2020s.
