I feel like a lot of people on Popedia are big fans of the year 2016, especially the summer. If I had to rank the 2010's from least to most hated, I'd probably say it's like this:
2016 2011 2010 2012 2013 2015 2017 2019 2018 2014

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I still don't understand how people can be overly nostalgic for a year that was a little over three years ago and especially one that was as tumultuous as 2016. Pokemon Go has brainwashed all of your minds.

How? 2016 was easily the most hated year. So many people on the internet crapped all over the year when it ended! I’ve never see it like that with other years, not even 2018 or 2019.

2012 is the best 2010s year easily.

I could show you like ten tweets with at least 1000 likes that talk about how amazing 2016 was lmao. The praise is Twitter and Popedia.

Pokemon Go has brainwashed all of your minds. It's not just Pokemon GO, it's the music that people like too. (I thought it was a good year for music as well lol)

I don’t really get why 2016 has to be the most praised year. There was nothing really special about that year except for Pokémon Go which exploded in activity. Moreover I don’t think the year was good in terms of music. It’s just a bizarre transition to see people 3 years ago complain endlessly about this year and now fast forward 3 years later to which people already praise it by calling it quote on quote on many quotation marks “one of the best years of the decade”.

2016 is the biggest love-it-or-hate-it year of the decade I guess. It’s certainly not the most praised of the decade though. I see people constantly lambasting their love for 2010-11 lately.

I spent the bulk of 2016 being ill and even had a cancer scare, It was also the year we lost David Bowie but I am as indifferent to it as I am to the other years of the 2010s.
