Around the middle of the year, it was safe to assume that Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" would not only finish as the best-selling song of 2019, but also as one of the biggest hits of the 2010s. However, "Dance Monkey" has eclipsed the former in terms of popularity over the past couple of months and here in Australia at least, it has already overtaken "Old Town Road's" record of the number of weeks at #1.
Which song do you believe will finish as the best-selling song of 2019?

Wtf is Dance Monkey? I've literally never heard of that song before. It's obviously Old Town Road and it's literally not even close.

"Dance Monkey" has been topping the charts in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries around the world for several weeks now, obviously, so I thought it was still a question worth asking...
Here at least, I would say "Dance Monkey" has been the bigger hit.

"Dance Monkey" is still on its way up in the United States. It may be more of a 2020 hit out here, honestly. "Old Town Road" is definitely the bigger hit.
Frankly, OTR's closest competitor is "Someone You Loved", which dominated the UK charts and did excellently internationally as well, including finally getting to #1 in America a couple of weeks ago.

In the US, it was Old Town Road by far. It spent 19 weeks at number one, breaking the record of 16 weeks. Dance Monkey is currently only peaking around number 40 and doesn’t look like it’ll become a huge hit at least here in America.
