This was the month I completely my final HSC exams at high school. Just looking at these images, I can't say that I identify with most of them in any way. I mean, obviously I can remember when these things were new and popular, but i've never liked mumble-rap, have never played Fortnite or Assasin's Creed, have never owned or played an XBOX One. In terms of pop culture, 2019 blows 2017 out of the water.

Late 2019 seems decent so far, but I still like 2017 better. I didn't like late 2017. I remember in September it was like we were all of a sudden in the Late 2010s and the music went really downhill.

For me personally, I felt as though I wasn't in the core age bracket for most of the trends that were popular in 2017 in general. Not to get into a conversation about generations, but after "Black Beatles" and the Mannequin Challenge became popular towards the end of 2016, it seemed as though pop culture started to be geared more towards an age group younger than me. Maybe if I had of been 14 or 15 in 2017, I might have been able to identify with the high school culture of the time a bit more, but 2017 was really the first overall where I felt for the first time that I was no longer the core target audience for the biggest trends.

Yeah. I felt like the transition to the late 2010s started in Sept. 2016, and it was done by November 2017.
