I know there's a few of us on here who are music geeks, so I thought this might make for an interesting topic. If you could make changes to the track listings on an official album release, whether it be by adding extra tracks or removing certain songs entirely, what changes would you make?
This is how I would have chosen to have released Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's debut album:
Album: Hybrid Theory Artist: Linkin Park Released: 2000
1. Technique [Intro] 2. And One 3. Papercut 4. Step Up 5. Slip 6. Blue 7. Carousel 8. Part Of Me 9. By Myself 10. High Voltage 11. In The End 12. Ambient [Instrumental] 13. She Couldn't
This would have been such a great album. After discovering some of these early recordings for the first time and reading about the backstory behind the release of Hybrid Theory (it's very interesting reading), it makes it all the more disappointing that the final result was so over polished and watered-down. Linkin Park never got to fulfill their full potential. This proposed album wouldn't have been as 'accessible', but i'm certain that it would have been better received by music critics and fans alike.
