How the hell is male circumcision still legal? What happened to "My body, my choice?!" Last time I checked, babies can't consent. I hope this preposterous practice comes to an end. If I had a son I probably wouldn't want to circumcise him. I just feel like it's unnecessary and it's painful. I wouldn't want to make charges to his body at a very young age. I hope the dad would be ok with that decision though.

Wow, this was a truly heartbreaking read. I absolutely sympathize with trans folks & their families who have to deal with the hardships, I absolutely do. The number of oppressive laws in our country that negatively impact trans folks is greatly disturbing. While I don't support HRT for small children & preteens, I fully support their right to identify as any gender & that's a decision nobody else should be making. You'd be surprise how many people on the left think a 3 year old can decide their own gender. If you think otherwise, you're called a transphobic asshole.

As a female, I am against male circumcision and ANYTHING ELSE THAT CONTROLS ANYONES BODIES WITHOUT CONSENT! And yes, that includes abortion bans.

There's hope for the future.

Transphobia is perhaps the most obvious one. We have gender neutral bathrooms in many public buildings now here in Canada, and the sky didn't fall and cats didn't start loving dogs. We are usually a decade ahead of everyone else on issues like this so I bet it will be the norm in the West before long. "How would your kid know he's transgender? He's just a kid!" will sound as quaint as "How do you know your kid is gay? He's just a kid!" of 10 years ago.
A less obvious one is industrial farming and eating meat. The way we cram animals into barns so that they have no space to move, never get to see daylight, overfeed them until they can't stand, rip children away from their parents etc. will be seen as downright barbaric and inhumane. With the rise of meat substitutes and artificial meat, there won't be any need for industrial farming, and it will be easy to look back on the present as having an undeveloped sense of morality.
An even less obvious one and one I'm not entirely certain of is flying on airplanes. Already "flight shaming" has entered the dictionary thanks to Greta Thanburg. It might be the case that in the future I will need to hide my vacation photos and airplane tickets from my future grandchildren. The idea of hopping on a plane, knowing how much environmental damage it causes (and in the future, has caused), purely for entertainment will seem incredibly greedy and selfish.

They're really not comparable at all. In male circumcision you're removing a skin part that folds and can worsen smegma collection. In female circumcision you're removing a whole entire sensitive glans and basically nullify sexual sensitivity. Before going on DOUBLE STANDARDS outrages it might be handy to first make sensible comparisons.

I would like to think that the people of the future will come to their senses and realise that pet shops are a form of animal cruelty. I hate seeing puppies, rabbits and kittens crammed into those small cages on shelves. Trafficking animals is frowned upon as an industry and that revolves around live animals being trapped in cages, so why do pet shops get a free pass in that regard? At least most animal shelters provide room for the animals to move around and interact with others.

From raising my sisters, they didn't know what a girl or boy was until they were around 4/5. I actually remember teaching them lol.

Cancel culture. I hope it dies out in the next 5-10 years.

I've thought about this today, but I believe saying racist things about white people will someday no longer be socially acceptable. I'm already seeing a rise in people callout others who say racist things about them. Soon enough, the idea that "You can't be racist to white people" will be seen as laughably wrong in the future.

Granted I support male circumcision from a religious standpoint, being Jewish and all, but I also don’t remember the event and frankly don’t care that it happened. And really, the alternative is gross. What’s the benefit to HAVING that foreskin, are you planning to bring your preferred gender to the bedroom to show off your smegma collection? I fully expect the debate to continue into the next decade.

I fully expect the debate to continue into the next decade. I think in the long term future it will die out, as religion in general goes out of vogue. I'm also circumcised for religious reasons, but being atheist now I wouldn't circumcise my sons (if I have any). Male circumcision isn't comparable at all to female circumcision however. The latter is a lot worse and that's not a double standard.

There seems to be some scientific misinformation here. Everyone produces hormones; even fetuses. Hormones regulate everything in your body from hunger, mood to body temperature, and yes, puberty. So if the thought of "injecting kids with hormones is wrong" goes out of fashion, it's not because of transgenderism, but more likely because of improved scientific literacy. This reminds me of when people say things like "I don't use that shampoo, it has too many chemicals in it". Bruh... The air you're breathing has even more chemicals in it. 🤦♂️ "Hormones", "chemicals", "toxins" (and its sibling "detox"), I feel like these words are abused the most by science cranks.
