Honestly 2016-early 2020 felt like watered down never ending extension of 2013-2015 with a totally meaningless and backwards political zeitgeist, and not enough of anything new or out of this world, which typically happens towards the end of decades. 2018 or 2019 should have been something special, they can be summed up as can of nothingness, with only some redeeming aspects because of 2013-2015 influences that weren’t completely phased out.

I wonder if faux-artsy culture will be left in the 2010s. That seemed to go hand-in-hand with the hipster movement.
I think so much of what defined the 2010s died a sudden death in March 2020 and won't return when society returns.

The post-COVID culture is going to be unrecognizable compared to where we were in March.

The 2010s culture barely evolved past the mid 2010s. It was mostly modifications and a watering down process. I'm ready for a completely new era. We can keep some of the fast fashion and love for nostalgia and of course the more progressive mentality but almost everything else needs to go imo.

No way. Before my beard people thought i was underage. I've had a beard since I was 15/16, is that unusual? Probably not anymore. When I was in school (late 2000s) the dress code banned facial hair. My teacher literally got a kid to go to the nurse's office to get shaving cream and a razor and shave it off lol.

I think hipster got so mainstream by the mid 2010s that the artsy shaggy haired pseudo film critic metrosexual variations of the earlier hipsters we’re a dying breed by then. Im not sure if anything has actually really changed since late 2019, aside of a few minor things. Infact things are more frozen in a lot of ways.

This haircut. Fortunately, it peaked in 2015-2017.
