Can believe 2016-2019 being 1-4 years ago. Even 2015 being 5 years to some extent.
But I just can't believe 2010 being a decade old. I just can't. That makes me feel 15 years older and I just cannot believe how quickly things have gone by. Same with 2011 being 9, that blows my mind.
The one that makes me most depressed is 2012. It was the last year where I felt like a kid. It was the last year I went to public school (my mom decided to homeschool me) and the last time I actually liked the culture. The culture was so fun and things were simple.
Though a runner up for that would be 2013, the year I was first homeschooled and couldn't really be with my friends anymore. It was the year I took medicine that made my autism worse than before (before then I acted more like a typical kid). And to think that all happened seven years ago, it's scary. What's scarier is that I will turn 18 years old in 2020, a horrifying truth to realize when 8 years prior, I was still a young 9 year old boy having fun. And now in 2020, I will be an adult. A young adult, sure, but that's insane, horrifying and depressing all at the same time.

I’m going to be 30 next year. That’s pretty out there for me.

I think the thing that scares me the most is 2014 being 6 years ago. It feels like only yesterday that I was 15.

Not really hard to believe lol Yeah I can believe most if not all of these, especially when you remember it's January 1 of those years that are the stated ages. It's January 1, 2010 that's 10 years ago. Now if it were the whole year that was 10 years ago that would be unsettling

"Groove Is In The Heart" was one of the first songs I heard after the clock struck midnight last night and it occurred to me that this song is now 30 years old. 1990 is now three decades ago!

I can't even believe that "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana is almost 30 years old. It's overrated, yes, but it sounds so timeless and was revolutionary in the history of rock music.

I can recall when "Smells Like Teen Spirit" had came out only 15/16 years ago, so the fact that it is on the verge of turning 30 is truly hard to fathom. Even just the fact that the '90s alt-rock scene itself is so long ago now is hard to believe.
