This is actually pretty good. This lower register fits her voice much better. A vast improvement over the ridiculous "Look What You Made Me Do" and the cringy "Me!" in any case. This is probably the best song on the new album.

And it will suck just like pretty much all of her other songs. She does have plenty of songs that I like such as Cruel Summer, Clean, State Of Grace, Out Of The Woods, Begin Again, All Too Well, Back To December, Wildest Dreams, Style, Fearless, and Safe and Sound. You probably listened to a few songs of her such as Shake It Off and Look What You Made Me Do. I've listened to many of those and still hate most of them.

This is her most mature thing she ever made. Her new album is probably her magnum opus.

This is just not a good year for pop music More bland and generic funky pop. Though the worst part might be the embarrassingly kitschy video and horribly it clashes with "Daisies" which seemed, as tediously dull that song was, that she tried to go for a more serious direction with her artistic integrity. I just have no idea what she's exactly attempting but her career sure is heading in a very tragic way. Holy hell, I didn't think they could manage to be even more lifeless and saccharine than "Memories" but they actually did manage to make something even worse. What a hideous song, just a bunch of echoing vocals and pure whine. Adam Levine is really getting on my nerves now. I will definitely add this song to my already filled 2020 shitlist: 1. 6ix9ine - GOOBA 2. Justin Bieber - Yummy 3. Diplo ft. Thomas Wesley, Julia Michaels, Morgan Wallen - Heartless 4. Lil Baby & 42 Dugg - We Paid 5. Trevor Daniel - Falling 6. Tones and I - Ur So F**cking Cool 7. Drake - Toosie Slide 8. Selena Gomez - Boyfriend 9. Sam Smith & Demi Lovato - I'm Ready 10. Maroon 5 - Nobody's Love StaySolidRocky - Party Girl 5 Seconds of Summer - Old Me Juice WRLD ft. Marshmello - Come & Go Kygo & Tina Turner - What's Love Got to Do With It

Thoughts on worst songs so far of 2020 list: 1. I agree that song is terrible. 2. Very forgettable and awful song. It completely flopped. 3. This song is alright, I wouldn’t say it’s that bad. 4. It’s terrible mumble rap, what do you expect? 5. This song is from TikTok, the beat is catchy, though the lyrics are cringe. 6. All of Tones and I music is completely terrible, Dance Monkey was probably the worst song of 2019. 7. Just like Yummy, this song completely flopped and is very forgettable. 8. This song’s beats are terrible, especially the autotune, and I agree it is not very good. 9. This song gets annoying, I can’t stand Demi Lovato’s voice. 10. Just like all of Maroon 5’s recent music, it’s absolute cringe. I agree with most of your top 10. I would also add Jason Durulo’s Savage Love. That song is absolute garbage.

Will this be like the "rebellious" music of 2020s?

This is like PC music, but on crack. It's pretty out-there for mainstream music, but we'll see where this style goes.

A random future house song just topped the UK charts, but's it's interestingly unexpected. Quite like it, it has a nice classic house sound to it.

This song has been receiving a lot of radio airplay here over the past few weeks, though it hasn't made it onto the charts yet. Probably as ambitious as a pop release gets in 2020. I wouldn't consider it to be terrible and its probably one of the more tolerable hits to have been released this year, but it just sounds so lifeless. That alt-pop sound is really starting to seem long in the tooth.

Will this be like the "rebellious" music of 2020s? I hope this style catches on, I see a lot of potential with it. It's basically Trap mixed in with pop-punk and electronica, "Trapunkica".

I've liked this year for hip-hop. I don't have much other than hip-hop in my 2020 playlist.

Billie Eilish has released a new song and it's obviously all the rage right now.
It's pretty interesting, I quite like the unexpected drop. It's deffo better than all the mediocrity currently clogging up the charts like "Savage Love".

^ I still can't really take to her as an artist, but I do agree that its better than the vast majority of the songs on the charts at the moment. It sounds really mature for her actually, will be interesting to see what direction she goes in with her next album.
I was just thinking about this earlier, and I know I must sound like a broken record constantly talking about rock all the time, but we're into August now and there has yet to be a single rock song released this year that has made it onto the Top-40 charts, anywhere. If this continues, 2020 will be the first year since 1951 that a new rock release has not made it onto the mainstream Top-40 charts whatsoever. 2019 at least had a small quantity of pop-rock songs such as 5 Seconds of Summer's "Teeth", Shawn Mendes' "If I Can't Have You", Post Malone's "Circles" and the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker". "Circles" has carried over into this year, but it was released in 2019 and it was already on the charts for several months before the start of 2020.
It still amazes me that this is the case. I can remember being an 8 year old kid thirteen years ago and some of the most popular songs of that year were hits like "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", "What I've Done" "Girlfriend", "Hey There Delilah" etc. Bands such as Nickelback, Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy were legitimately some of the biggest names in music at the time. Now its 2020 and its as if rock never even existed. They're two completely different worlds. In 2007, I went and saw Linkin Park perform live at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and I received a $400 drum kit for Christmas. Now, I would probably be called a 'boomer' just for even regularly listening to rock.

^2007 was a pretty unique year on its own. Probably an unpopular opinion, but despite all the technological advances the world and culture of 2007 still feels closer and more connected to 1994 than to 2020 in so many ways. The distinctive and diverse music of 2007 for instance definitely does compared to the sludgy music of 2020.
That's why I hate this year so much more vehemently than last year. In 2019, it really felt like we were heading towards charts with more diversity and I really embraced the positive evolution, only for this year to undo that completely.
