I listened to Serj Tankian's new Elasticity EP while travelling down to Melbourne yesterday. Musically, it wasn't bad and Serj's vocals are just as great as they ever have been. However, these songs are crying out for some input from Daron Malakian. They're good songs on their own, but they would be great as System of a Down songs.

This would surely have to be a contender to be one of the worst songs to have been released in 2021. It pains me to say it, but Australia has been exporting a lot of shit artists to the rest of the world over the past two years; from Tones & I and Masked Wolf, to now The Kid Laroi. The original release of this song was grating enough as it was as I can't stand his voice and the lyrics are awful to say the least, but adding Miley Cyrus' strained vocals over what was already a turd of a song, just makes the final product all the more worse. Unfortunately, the radio stations down here have been plugging this horrible thing to death, simply because they see it as supporting Australian 'talent'.

 Maneskin are currently outperforming BTS, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran on the global Spotify chart at the moment. For a new rock band in 2021, that is an absolutely phenomenal achievement!

It's confirmed people, mid 2000s nostalgia is here: Billie Eilish's new song gives off huge Simple Plan vibes: I’ve never been a fan of Billie Eilish, but I have to admit her new album with that song might make me a fan. I honestly love the song “Happier Than Ever”, especially the second half where it gets so intense and I love her voice with the rock qualities. Maybe a rock return might be something that defines the early 20’s if it keeps on sticking.
