I feel like the fashion of 2010 can be described as"not very 2000s but not very 2010s either". It's sort of a transitional state for fashion at the time.

I miss it when everyone was still looking forward to the future, and everyone was partying unlike the depressed, pessimistic moods of 2019.

One thing that really strikes me about this set is how obvious it is that most of these pictures are for Facebook. When everyone posted huge albums and there was little editing. There’s fashion that could pass as either 2000’s or 2010’s, though the hairstyles are running a little behind.
I was thinking about this some more in terms of my personal life. July 2010 was a very significant time for me and probably one of the few months outside of those in 2019 where I can remember so many really specific dates. For round numbers, if we said my cultural consciousness started in 2000, then this is starting to encroach on the half way point. It’s weird, not too long ago I would’ve said this still felt recent, and in ways I feel like I could close my eyes and be there again. Now for the first time this is starting to drift towards feeling like my “younger” days. I didn’t think that would happen already, but ten years is ten years, I guess.

Two of them, actually, in different colors. From Abercrombie though, despite the Hollister plug.

This time pretty much defined my childhood, I'm gonna miss Windows 7, because its ending soon. I remember playing Club Penguin a lot, or those facebook games like FarmVille or Ameba Pico. If I didnt have internet, I'd go on Purble Place or Chess. -Sigh- fun times

I took a seven and a half week trip to India beginning that month. Also, I remember Hannah Montana Forever starting that month itself.

The fact that 2010 is now 10 years ago scares me... It scares me too. Even Victorious, Adventure Time, and Regular Show are all now gonna be 10 years old. It just freakin' blows my mind.

Interesting how the girls in the Union Jack dresses have such distinctly British facial expressions.
