Since @loosebolt wanted more photos of ye olde untrendy people, I did find some while looking on Flickr I searched Toronto streets and restricted it to April-June 2015. These are from London. Londoners dress so much nicer... Damn, they must be rich! Those types of clothes are expensive in my country 😂ðŸ˜

I actually thought this one looked really stale for some reason. Lol I almost put that one in hard to place but I thought the guy's shoes looked new.

When I went to the UK/Italy it seems people there are a lot more about following trends. If one person has a denim jacket, the next day everyone will have one lol.

Yeah I live in Canada, and I could not even afford one of those clothes! Well, technically I can but its not practical if you ask me... And yeah, I was also talking about London, wow.

Yeah, that's what we were trying to argue in the previous thread that prompted that post. People in their 20s usually have more disposable income to spend on clothes compared to teens. Beards, undercuts, flowers in the hair, the whole hipster aesthetic is missing if you focus just on teenagers.

The collage was pretty much the manifestation of myself as a 14 going on to 15 year-old at the time. I also remember Vine peaking that year, the insipid Whip/Nae Nae, and the "dank meme" internet phenomenon pretty much set the tone for internet memes in the late 2010s. I also remember 2015 being a great year for mainstream music as well. Can't Feel My Face and Love Me Like You Do are some of my favorites from that year.
I also feel like 2015 (January-June, to be exact) was the last year where people had more civil discourse and understanding with each other before the radical and cultural shift that came the following year with Brexit, the peak of the social justice warrior invasion, the hype and distress of the 2016 election, and Trump's eventual win.

May 2015, this was the month that I got my learners drivers licence! Hard to believe it was almost five years ago. Also, sorry to be nitpicky, but Skype had mostly become irrelevant by 2015. It's not something I personally associate with the Mid 2010s at all. Skype's peak in popularity was centred around 2011-2013 before starting to decline in relevancy around 2014. I remember FaceTime had become the video-chat app of choice by the time I was in Year 10.

Anyone who was in middle school during that time would know this.

I'm curious to know, which photos do you think look more older and recent? Fresh: Third wheel at gym Guys on elevator (except for glasses) Orange Adidas shirt Leopard shorts (cargo shorts guy is stale tho) Money and dad hat Getting into car Smiles and Birkenstocks Grad caps Okay/hard to place: Sports fan group pic Doritos by the couch VIP access pass Camo hat in the car Black leggings and bright socks (very 2015) Track & Field Doritos on chair White drink Spanish class bulletin board Group pic yellow wall MyPlate Kpop Stale: Union Jack group pic (cold shoulder very mid 2010’s tho) Baseball mascot Ron Paul poster Birthday banner Skype 35th bday party Lei and peace sign (except for necklace which is more current) Bar Louie Only a few are really obvious though lol I still had to think about most of them. One subtle but big fashion thing that changed was eyeglasses style. Third wheel at gym looks the most 2010s to me. The Obey logo ages that picture a decade.

Why does this feel recent and dated at the same time?? Maybe because of the social media aspect?

Why does this feel recent and dated at the same time?? Some design elements for trains and inside of buildings that became common place in 2015 became perm ( such as Wendy's new exterior etc) also it was 8 years ago
