Thanks to the selfish, ignorant people who don't believe the COVID quarantine rules apply to them, as of last night, Victoria went into a snap 5-day lockdown as we try to control the spread of the Delta strain that three Sydney furniture removalists brought into our state. I'm irritated because I've got tickets to the football this weekend and now I can't go. Sydney's been in lockdown, too, but they allowed businesses to stay open which, I think, assisted in the spread of the virus. Melbourne, on the other hand, now that we're back in lockdown, restaurants/cafes can do take-away only and all non-essential businesses have to close for the duration of the lockdown. Pharmacies and supermarkets are some of the few places that are allowed to stay open. This is the fifth time Victoria's been in lockdown since the pandemic began.

Well, looks like the U.S. could have its states reinstate mask mandates again thanks to unvaccinated people. Ugh....30,000+ cases per day.

Half the country still believes it's all a hoax invented by Democrats to use as a weapon against Trump. Many of those also believe that the vaccine is the mark of the beast foretold in the book of Revelation or at very least, dangerous and untested. Pastors, televangelists, and conservative talk show hosts continue to spread this propaganda. The U.S. is likely to have to go back to restrictions and we will probably be looking at another six months to a year before everything gets going again. My question is, if people won't be vaccinated, how is this ever going to end?

Once again, the fundamentalist Christians have ruined a good thing in America and now we're all going to have to suffer.
2021, in my opinion, is just another trash year to throw on the bonfire. Not as bad as 2020, but still the worst year I've lived through other than 2020.

I do not feel sorry for people who do not wear masks and social distance, getting Coronavirus. Let them die. The doctors should not waste time on them. The doctors should just pull the plug on them. What did those people expect? The mask mandate and social distancing were lifted very quickly. All I know is that it will not be easy going back to the way life was pre-COVID. I do feel sorry for people who wear masks and social distance, getting Coronavirus which is because of idiots. Oh and some grocery stores like Safeway do not seal their bakery items anymore. Fuck me.

As much as I hate to say it, there are FUCKING PROTESTERS who won't take the vaccine and would rather spread the virus which could kill more people. I'm sorry for the people concerned in Australia... It's quite shocking especially how things went back to normal for a while, but now, it can't for another few months which is completely disappointing for you guys down there.

We've had protests here, too.
Looks like Sydney's gonna be in lockdown till the middle of September. They recorded another 145 new cases over the past 24 hours. Victoria recorded 11 new cases and, from what I've heard, we're on track to come out of lockdown as planned on Tuesday night.

I was told that, despite having a disability, I don't qualify for the vaccine because I'm not on the NDIS and have no underlying medical conditions. Went to see my doctor today and she's given me a certificate to say that I can get the Pfizer vaccine.

Doubt it seeing as they've just set their record of some 680 cases yesterday. All thanks to that Gladys clown she's not only fkd other states in Australia but now NZ aswell. Nice one.
