Quick Notes on my point of view of November 2013: -My sister's boyfriend and her friends came over to my house, and we all partied (No alcohol of course) -Vine was funny back then -I tried rapping the fast rap verse of rap god but I went like SAMALAMASUPERHUMANWADUTOYU -I'd get obsessed over Doge memes -iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 was slow, I dreamt of owning an iPhone 5s or 5c -Electropop fully gone at this point -Trap is still not solidified but its making it's way to being mainstream -I'd take selfies with my cousins yelling SELFIE!!! -PS4 and Xbox One gets huge attention, while Xbox 360 and PS3 users are playing GTA 5 -Hipster fashion is entering its apex -Last traces of Skeuomorphism are still lingering around, but flat design has been solidified with Windows 8.1 -After 2 months of moving into my new school, I was friends with almost everyone in my Grade 4 class -The brand new colorful vibe gets further amplified

I remember this as a time when the early '10s and the mid '10s were both relevant.

I do agree though that there were still Early 2010s influences but there werent many. All I could think of is Windows 7 and Xbox 360/PS3 still being very popular.

Windows 8/8.1 was so difficult to navigate with the organized yet cluttered interface; I hated it.
Royals, Demons, and Counting Stars are some of my favorite songs of all time.
I haven't heard of Vine until about 2014-2015 since I had my first smartphone at the time, but looking back at it, I probably would've laughed at the juvenile and cringy humor if I had the app. But now, it's a social media pastiche of crappy comedy sketches and memes.

Miley Cyrus during this era was on the fringes of electropop, but I’d say Lorde pretty much put an end to it. Aesthetics-wise it was still pretty similar to 2012.

Ehh not really. 2012 still had Windows 7, while 2013 had Windows 8. Also, iOS 7 pretty much changed everything about iPhone with its features, and new flat look. Fashion wise though, it is similar to some extent, hipster fashion was getting more and more popular during 2012, and that hipster style lasted until around 2016/17. Some neon fashion is still relevant until mid 2014

But weren't both stars popular around the same time? Then again, I'm pretty sure you mean it was the likes of Lorde that stopped electropop's popularity.

I kinda liked it tbh, but Windows 7 is still the best.

Just looking at any of the 2013-2016 photos, I'm already blown by the nostalgia wind, it feels so different, even though some of Mid 2010s culture are somewhat prevalent today... 2013-16 felt like splashes of color on a white background, while today just feels pessimistic and boring.
Anyways, I might do a 1989 atmosphere album just for fun and curiosity sake

The biggest trap songs during the 2013-2014 school year were Dark Horse and Turn Down For What; those were a different kind of trap, they are classified in the EDM category. The genre wouldn't take over until the 2016/17 school year when Trap started to dominate the charts.

I wasn't havin' too much fun in 2013. All of these things seem extremely recent to me, and I can't believe how 2013 will be seven in 2020.

Then again, I'm pretty sure you mean it was the likes of Lorde that stopped electropop's popularity. Yeah that's what I meant. Miley's Bangerz album blended into the existing sound while Lorde stood out.
