Pre-2005 Vlogs?

When I was browsing archive.org I found a couple of videos shot by guy named Bill Creston.

The fact these were shot in the early 1970s I found very interesting, because this was at a time most people were still shooting home movies on Super-8 film with no sound. And here is someone shooting black and white video, with sound. Would this be considered some of the earliest “vlogs?” Or am I overestimating this?
