despite some of the darker clothing 2005 had a very bubbly atmosphere Sounds like Late 1996-1997 lol. Btw, did you like the Mid 2010s better or the Mid 2000s? I liked the mid 2000s better then the mid 2010s, I HATED the mid 2010s, I hated them more then any other era

Looks fun, and dark at the same time... Yeah that's totally 04/05, then I'd say 06-08 were darker. It was like the whole bubbly vibe faded for a while before coming back in 2010 with a vengeance. I liked the mid 2000s better then the mid 2010s, I HATED the mid 2010s, I hated them more then any other era Just curious, what specific aspects did you hate?

I hated the whole atmosphere, I felt the terrorist attacks every other week were a bummer, I also felt social media was getting stupid at this time, Personally I was dating horrible people. Girl meets world failed to be a show worthy of BMW, The whole Apocalyptic Walking Dead movie/tv show vibe I didn't like. I did not like EDM at all. I did not like the whole EDM glow in the dark festivals felt shallow and fake. I also HATED Hipster subculture and the fonts/music that were used in ads at the time.

I really only saw third season episodes but I felt like it was mostly them discussing their friendship over and over as a poor attempt at seeming deep. I'm wondering if it had come out now instead as a Disney+ original if it would've been more substantial. I'm not mad the apocalyptic thing is over. Lol

Ah yep. I didn't know about emo until around a month later, but this looks about right. I was mostly just excited about the new - and we thought, last - Star Wars movie.
And as we're emerging from the movie theater, my grandmother turns to me and says, "You know what they need to do now? They'll have to make movies about the kids when they grow up!" True story.

My last month of 9th grade...I looked forward to Friday nights on MTV2 to catch Andy Millionakis, Wondershowzen, and Wild Boyz. (I remember the B-movie clips they played in between the shows) I think this was the month Paranoia Agent first aired on Adult Swim at the time I was surprised because there was a scene where a guy throws some flowers and yells “Stop this bullshit!” Unbleeped. nowadays it would air unbleeped and no one would bat an eye. But in 2005 it was quite the surprise to hear the word bullshit on Cartoon Network. Don’t for get Comedy Central airing uncensored stuff either Friday or Saturday nights.

I actually really hated 2005. I was going through some personal shit that makes it hard to look back on the year fondly, both academically and with my "friends" at the time. I've always kinda regarded 2005 as a lost year, and based on some of the other threads we've had about it, it seems I'm not alone in identifying it that way.

I guess every teenager has to go through at least one full stinkpot of a year.
