I was 19. It's quite common for a lot of people here to apply for their first job when they're 16/17 and still in high school, but I personally didn't see the sense in it. I'm glad that I didn't. Sure, I would have a bit of extra money, however it would have been a nightmare trying to juggle my work shifts with studying and school.
How old were you when you got your first job?

I turned 19 over the summer I got out of high school and jobs were hard to find. The first ones I got were just short term things anyway because I went to college that winter. My first long term job was after I all done learning a trade and landed a job that was at least somewhat related to that when I was 21.

If you count paper routes I was 12. As for a real job I was 16. Stocking shelves at the grocery store.
