Many communities in recent years have been taking steps to reduce plastic consumption. One of the most common measures has been to ban stores from giving out plastic bags after customers make a purchase.
Do you think this is a good or a bad thing?

Part of me wants to say no if only because when I was a grocery store clerk and Toronto introduced a 5 cent tax on bags, customers gave me shit as if 15 year old me passed it into law. But it's 2020 now, maybe plastic bans won't go over as badly. But god damn it don't make it a tax.

Yes they should. We need to be minimising our usage rates of plastic, studies show that not all plastics are biodegradable and they are doing a lot of harm to the environment.

Yes, but only by the companies themselves, or at the very most by the mayor of the town the store is located in. We don't need any more federal intervention.
