Ah, January. The glory days of when I could open up my blinds and see the yellow, smoke-filled sky choking the scorched brown earth I call my backyard. When you'd struggle to breathe outside, but could still purchase an ample supply of toilet paper. The time when we were increasingly running out of water and 15% of our water supply originated from the shit that lands in our toilets. Early 2020 simply doesn't care to the greatness of very Early 2020. The tragedies you'd hear on TV were those of half a billion animals being wiped out by bushfires, not thousands of people across the globe losing their lives to a flu-like virus. The NBA was still a thing. People were still obsessing over relatively simple debates such as whether Brexit should go ahead or if Trump should be impeached. *sigh, oh how I miss those times...

I relate to you, dude. I completely miss new years to 2020. It seems the flu epidemic going around right now will never even end.
